Join us in the beautiful heritage setting of Old Mill House to weave your own willow, dragonfly sculpture, using our own sustainable homegrown willow.
A beautiful willow dragonfly will add structural interest to your garden planters or flowerbeds and can be made as large or as small as is suitable for your garden space. Why not add additional interest by covering it in solar, LED lights for an extra magical effect?
In the morning you will be given the opportunity to visit our very own Salley garden, where your tutor Heather McDermott will teach you how to select, grade and dry willow rods as well as learn some of the myth and legend associated with this wonderful shrub.
Whether you are a beginner or have some experience, Heather, will guide you throughout the workshop, giving you step by step instruction to make a dragonfly sculpture to be truly proud of.
All materials, tools and instruction are included.
This is a relaxed informal experience and will last approximately five – six hours. You will not be rushed and it ends when your sculpture is completed
Morning and afternoon tea & coffee with homemade treats, as well as a delicious homemade lunch to fuel your creativity.
